In short: impact windows in Cape Coral typically cost $900–$1,800 per standard window installed, $3,500–$7,000 for a two-panel impact sliding glass door, and $18,000–$40,000 for a whole house of fifteen to twenty openings. These are estimates for planning; the written quote after we measure is the price you pay.
All prices at a glance
The three tables cover windows, doors and whole projects. Figures are installed prices including removal of the old unit, anchoring, sealing, trim and haul-away. They were last reviewed October 8, 2026, built from Florida and national cost guides and Southwest Florida installer pricing, since no published Cape Coral price survey exists.

What moves the price on Cape Coral homes
- Size and count. Glass area drives cost more than anything else. Ten small bedroom and bathroom windows can cost less than three large canal-side picture windows.
- Design pressure. Openings on the water side, on two-story homes or near corners need higher ratings, and higher-rated units cost more.
- Frame material. Vinyl is usually the lower-cost option; aluminum costs more and is often chosen for large openings and salt-air exposure.
- Glass options. Low-E coatings, tints and insulated impact glass each add to the base price.
- The wall around the window. Block and stucco homes need patching after removal; older homes with damaged sills or bucks need more.
- Condo rules. Associations may require specific products, and elevator or work-hour limits add labor time.
Priced separately, so nothing is hidden
A few items sit outside the standard ranges: repainting a whole wall rather than the patched area, replacing rotted wood bucks or damaged sills found when an old frame comes out, new screens beyond those supplied with the product, and interior blinds or shades. If we find something during removal, we show you before doing it and price it on the spot.
Cost per square foot
Installed impact windows commonly work out at $55 to $100 per square foot of opening. A standard 3-by-5-foot bedroom window is 15 square feet, or roughly $825 to $1,500 on that basis. Per-square-foot figures are useful for comparing odd sizes, but most installers, us included, price each unit, because small windows carry the same labor and permitting as larger ones.
Why Cape Coral quotes disagree
It is common to collect three quotes for the same house that differ by $10,000 or more, and none of them be dishonest. The usual reasons are the product line and its design pressure, whether every opening was measured or estimated from the street, whether stucco repair and paint are included, and whether the permit is. A quote that does not list the Florida Product Approval number for each unit is hard to compare with one that does. Ask each company for a per-opening price, the product name and approval number, and a line for permit and finishing.
Insurance credits and these prices
Florida insurers must offer discounts for wind-resistant features, and protecting every glazed opening is one of them. How much you save depends on your insurer and policy, so ask your agent to run the numbers with an updated wind-mitigation inspection before you decide. We supply the product approvals and permit records the inspector asks for.
Cost questions
Why do impact window quotes in Cape Coral differ so much?
Mostly because they quote different products and scopes. One quote may use a vinyl frame at the minimum design pressure and leave stucco repair out; another may use aluminum frames, a higher rating and include the patching and paint. Compare quotes line by line: the product and its approval number, the design pressure, what finishing is included and whether the permit is.
Is the permit included in the price?
In our quotes, yes. We file the City of Cape Coral permit, attend the inspection and show the city's fee as its own line so you can see it. Check whether other quotes include it.
Can I do part of the house now and the rest later?
Yes, and many owners do, starting with the slider and the canal side. Keep in mind that the wind-mitigation credit for opening protection usually needs every glazed opening protected, so the full saving arrives when the last opening is done.
Is financing available?
Ask when you book the measure. Florida also runs the My Safe Florida Home program, which has offered matching grants for impact windows and doors to eligible homeowners when funding is open; it requires a free inspection first and the rules change between funding rounds.
Services and areas
Each service has its own page: impact windows, window replacement, impact sliding glass doors and impact entry and French doors. The same pricing applies in Fort Myers, North Fort Myers and on Pine Island, where permits go through different offices.
